VEGEPOLYS, Qualiméditérranée, Qualitropic and Terralia, the French Cluster Consortium for plant innovation were pleased to invite the participants for the PIC Meeting 2015 in Angers, France, during 2 days (June 9 & 10th).

This edition has been once again a successful one with over 80 participants, clusters, SMEs, companies, research institutes from 8 different countries (Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, and Spain).

Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better, to find new partners and to start building up collaborative consortia in order to get ready for the next Horizon 2020 calls

BtoB MEETINGS between companies, SMEs, clusters and research institutes

During the 75 BtoB meetings which took place on June 9th in the afternoon, participants had the opportunity to meet potential partners and discuss about opportunities for collaboration in the field of efficient plant production.

The aim of the thematic workshops 1 and 3 was to clearly exchange on some possible answers to some 2016-2017 H2020 calls from the Societal Challenge 2 we have identified of interests and to set up future collaborative projects. As for the workshop 2, the discussions focused on how to keep networking practices alive between members all over the year and how to strengthen collaboration between clusters so as to find innovative ways to help their members joining European projects:

  • Workshop 1 : New inputs for food production (Emeline Defossez-VEGEPOLYS)
  • Workshop 2: Inter clustering practices, exchanges on methodologies and tools for the internationalization of your entreprises, smes (Claire Mermet-Terralia)
  • Workshop 3: Digital Services to Agriculture (Nicolas Nguyen The-Qualiméditerranée)

  • GEVES: French Group for the Study and Control of Varieties and Seeds
  • VILMORIN: Creation, production and marketing of vegetable and tree seeds for professional
  • FLEURON D'ANJOU: Specializes in the production and sales of fruits, vegetables and flowers.
  • CAMPUS DU VEGETAL : By grouping in the same place researchers, engineers and project coordinators ; the campus aims at improving more still the synergies and the efficiency of the various actors of the plants innovation

The event was opened to SMEs, Enterprises, Clusters, Universities, Laboratories and R&D Centers. 

This event was a great opportunity to make new contact and find partners for their next European projects!
